Visit of the Defense Minister
DEFENCE MINISTER AND DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER Tomasz Siemoniak visits Rosomak S.A.
June 30. Minister of National Defense Tomasz Siemoniak visited Rosomak S.A. in Siemianowice Slaskie.
During the visit, Deputy Prime Minister stressed that Rosomak is the most successful example of Polish arms industry in recent years and the successful cooperation between industry and the military. The minister recalled that the President of Rosomak S.A., Mr. Adam Janik stepped into the role of CEO in early January 2015 of two companies belonging to PGZ - Bumar-Łabędy and OBRUM. The three facilities have been called the “Silesian pillar of the Polish defense industry " by the Defense Minister.
- Appointment of one Director for three companies aims to strengthen cooperation to achieve synergies and fully integrate a number of manufacturing processes - said Wojciech Dabrowski, CEO of PGZ S.A. Dabrowski noted that after the completion of the formal consolidation the Group will undertake operational consolidation. Ultimately, it has to bring centers of competence at PGZ. Among them is Rosomak S.A. It is to serve as a leader in the field of wheeled armored personnel carriers, and Bumar-Łabędy with OBRUM having a key role in the segment of armored vehicles.
PGZ is creating a group of over 60 companies operating in manufacturing and the service sector employing approx. 17 500 employees. As a result of the consolidation it will create one of the largest Defense companies in this part of the world.
