On September 16, 2013, Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Treasury Minister Włodzimierz Karpiński and the Minister of National Defence Tomasz Siemoniak visited WZM S.A.

During a press conference convened by the Prime Minister, it was announced that there will be a consolidation of the Defense industry.

- There are plans for the Establishment of the Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ), it will comprise of all the key Companies that work in the Polish Defense sector - said Prime Minister Tusk.

The new Group will be made up of Huta Stalowa Wola S.A., 11 Military Overhaul – Manufacturing Companies, OBR Marine Science Center S.A. and Companies from Polish Defense Holding Sp. z o. o.

- Consolidation is a fact. In this way it ends a period which is not always well-coordinated cooperation of Defense Companies - said the head of government and later twitted, that perhaps the group will be called “Rosomak”. – After all, it is the flagship product of our Defense industry, which saves the lives of soldiers in Afghanistan.

- We hope that the reputation the Rosomak has gained will become the PGZ Group's reputation - said the P.M. He said that WZM in Siemianowice will be a place where Rosomaks will continue to be manufactured. There are plans to produce a total of 877 vehicles by the end of 2019.

- Siemianowice is proof that “Polonization” is meaningful. WZM produce Rosomak transporters, de facto a Polish product – underlined the Prime Minister. He added that most of the components that make up the Rosomak are "the effect of Polish technical thought and the work of Polish workers."
